Bio
Jess Middleton is a freelance photographer, videographer, creator and director. After moving to Melbourne, she quickly became sought after for her music event photography and is now sourced for agency level fashion and advertising.
Her passion for music and fun has seen her shoot hundreds of events and festival shows and she has been fortunate to tour throughout Asia as a photographer with DJ duo NERVO.
It is from years these years of shooting music events that Jess honed her approach and skills in shooting lifestyle, people and brands.
Jess has developed a distinctive style of shooting and capturing moments, which lead to her first photo exhibition, ‘UP^3AM’, 2019. Since then, Jess has exhibited at The Dirty Dozen space, under Flinders st Station in Melbourne, with thanks to Creative Spaces and the City of Melbourne in 2020 and again in 2021. The show was a follow up to her previous exhibition and titled ‘Youth and Interaction’. The latter show in 2021 featured a video work titled ‘In Dreams’.
Prior to moving to Melbourne, Jess completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television Production) at QUT in Brisbane. Her background in film production has given her an eye for storytelling and video creation, which she translates into her work today.
